Counseling

Providing support to our school community by fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment.

Dear CMS students and families,

Many of us are struggling with and have big feelings about the recent death of Mr. George Floyd. How is this feeling for you? If you need to talk, please reach out to someone you trust. Your school counselors are here to help or just to listen. We can visit with you individually or can offer small group conversations for anyone who is interested. If there is someone else you are close to but don’t know how to reach them, please let us know and we can help.

Your School Counselors,

Mrs. Schmitz (karen.schmitz@isd624.org)

Mrs. Moreau (calli.moreau@isd624.org)

Ms. Bristow (jill.bristow@isd624.org)

As counselors, we support our school community through pro-active, developmentally appropriate programming in the areas of social/personal, academic, and college/career readiness. Our role is to foster an inclusive, collaborative environment where all students can become successful members of society.  We loop with the students throughout their middle school experience which allows us to build rapport and best support them over the three years.
