A group of students (and staff!) from Central Middle School's first ever Rubik's Cubing Club competed at a cubing competition last Saturday in Eagan.

Several Central Middle School staff members were among the hundreds of participants to plunge into White Bear Lake on January 31 as part of the Polar Plunge event which raises money and awareness for Special Olympics Minnesota. 

WEB Leaders creating Fun at Central

Central Middle School eighth grade WEB leaders (where everyone belongs) organized and led a fun Thanksgiving themed game for sixth graders focused on the importance of team work. They were split into groups and had to solve a puzzle where all the words were spelt out using emojis. Throughout the year, WEB leaders gather with sixth graders to provide meaningful connections and support.

Three Central students had a great showing in the annual 4th District Recognition Program for the VFW's Patriot's Pen Essay Contest. Camille LeBoeuf (far left) won first place and is now competing in the State competition! Hannah Zollinger (center) placed second and Brody Dickinson (far right) received an Honorable Mention Award. The theme of this year’s contest was "How are You Showing Patriotism and Support for Your Country?"
